Junior Information Designer
Addison is looking for a talented Junior Information Designer to join our Simplified Communications practice.
Simplified Communications focuses on the creation of clear, content-driven communications based on strategic business goals (visit the Simplification section of this site for more information and case studies). The junior designer will be an integral part of multidisciplinary teams (including strategists and writers) that focus on analyzing and simplifying complex marketing, transactional, functional and technical communications, in print and online. Our primary clients are in the financial-services and health-care sectors.
This position requires collaboration and intellectual curiosity. Your experience should demonstrate the ability to design communications for various media, including websites and intranets. You will work on projects ranging from traditional print to print-on-demand and data-driven communications (e.g., forms, statements and other “functional” outputs). You will also help visualize processes and communications systems to help clients understand and implement our recommendations—this could entail developing process maps and other “strategy visualizations” as well as user personas, scenarios of use, and interaction models; creating wireframes and functional prototypes/final comps; and participating in user testing or fieldwork.
Strong organizational skills and thorough knowledge of assembling background research is required. You will execute unique and exciting approaches that are solidly grounded in strategy. The final designs should be intuitive, simple and exceptionally efficient for the user.
Addison offers a fun, highly creative working environment, along with competitive compensation, health and retirement benefits.
