Addison is looking for a talented Junior Information Designer with expertise in both Web and print to play a significant role in our Simplified Communications practice.
Simplified Communications focuses on the creation of clear, content-driven communications based on strategic business goals. As a Junior Designer, you will be an integral part of the team that focuses on simplifying complex marketing, transactional, functional and technical documents for both online and print delivery. A large part of your work will be in collaboration with teams of simplification strategists and writers, as well as other designers.
This position requires openness, collaboration and inquisitiveness. Your experience in should demonstrate the ability to design communications for various media, including websites and intranets. You will be required to work on traditional print, print-on-demand and data driven communications, such as statements and other alternative outputs.
Under the direction of the Creative Director, you will be responsible executing designs based on proposals prepared by the Strategist, the Creative Director and Sales team. Strong organizational skills and thorough knowledge of assembling background research is required. You will execute unique and exciting designs that are solidly grounded in strategy. You will have a solid methodology for arriving at final. The final designs should be intuitive, simple and exceptionally efficient for the user. Experience in a general or specialized design field (with an emphasis on information design) is required.

Duties
Essential functions include:
- Graphic production
- End-to-end workflows and tasks
- Developing user personas, scenarios of use, and interaction models
- Creating wireframes and functional prototypes/final comps
- Participating in user testing or fieldwork
- BA in Interaction Design, Multimedia Design and/or Information Design
- 2-3 years of experience
- Strong Web/print portfolio
- Familiarity with user-centered design and information architecture
- Excellent Macintosh computer skills, including proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash
- HTML, DHTML, CSS and Javascript a big plus
- Ability to get along with others
- Good communication skills
