MANAGER, NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Addison, a creative services company specializing in business communications consulting, is extending an excellent job opportunity in our fast-growing and innovative simplified communications practice for a dynamic, high-energy New Business Development Manager to effectively oversee all lead generation activities.


This position will be responsible for lead generation primarily through a direct marketing and cold calling sales program. Development and management of alliance relationships with software vendors and print service bureaus to generate referral leads is also required. He/she will be primarily responsible for setting appointments with prospects under the direction of the Chief Marketing Officer and the Vice President of New Business Development; qualifying new business leads; and attending networking and industry segment conferences (when and where necessary).

Skills and Criteria:
  • 7-10 years of business development experience, preferably cold calling into the financial services and/or healthcare sector(s);
  • An understanding of information design and how it affects the customer brand experience, in order to be able to speak the proper sales message;
  • Strong written and oral communications skills;
  • Ability to aggressively cold call, follow up, and set appointments for prospective client sales meetings;
  • Self-starting, can-do attitude and personality;
  • Ability to interact with tact, discretion, and diplomacy when dealing with representatives of outside companies and/or internal employees;
  • Ability to quickly become familiar with case studies and current work; and
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
